How do I book a session or reserve a wedding date?

There are many ways you can book a session. We can do it over the phone, through email, or in person. Typically weddings are done in person where a %50 retainer fee is used to reserve the date and a contract is signed. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date. Most portrait sessions can be booked through email and a check can be mailed. We also accept credit cards. But all session fees are must be received prior to the session.

How soon do you book weddings?

Weddings can be crazy. We have booked up in as many as 18 months in advance. Typically brides book us 8-12 months in advance so inquire early, especially for peak months like April/May/Sept/Oct.

Do you offer digital files?

We do offer the fully edited digital files for all of our portrait and wedding sessions. You will also receive a print release so that you can have your images printed at the lab of your choosing.

Can I have the RAW files?

Sorry but we don’t offer the RAW files.Would you ask a painter for his canvas and his paint by itself. Of course not, that is why you hire them so that they can do what they do best. Create masterpieces!

How long does it take to receive my images?

Our goal for portrait sessions is around 2 weeks. Weddings can be anywhere from 4-6 weeks, depending on whether it’s peak season or not.

What is an online gallery?

All of our sessions come with a personal online gallery for your viewing and ordering pleasure. Your friends and family from out of town can check out the imagery and order what they want. It will then ship directly to them. Piece of cake.

What is a fine art wedding album?

Our fine art wedding albums are unlike anything you have ever seen or felt. We searched literally in every state and all over the world to find the highest quality album that money can buy. Once your images have been edited, we will predesign an amazing album for you. You will then get to make revisions and choose your custom layout while selecting your favorite cover. We offer everything from fake leather for the happy cow people, all the way to exotic leather, metal, glass, and the list goes on.

Do you travel? If so how much does it cost?

YES! We love traveling. So much so that we bought a 1969 VW bus to go all the time. Oh you were asking will we travel for you. Of course we will. We typically travel anywhere within 60 miles for free for all wedding and portrait sessions. If it’s further than that, no problem. It’s just the IRS rate of $0.55 per mile. Some weddings and sessions may require other accommodations, so let us know what you have planned so we can give you the most accurate quote.

Do you have a contract?

Yes. All wedding clients will receive a contract. This will give you more information than you need, but we promise it will cover ever question and basis possible.

How many images will I receive?

We typically take anywhere between 2500-4000 images at a wedding. Some are more depending on how much fun we are having on the dance floor. But we offer a minimum of 600 fully edited images. We promise you this, if it’s happening, we’re capturing.

Portrait sessions are anywhere from 40-60 fully edited images.

Can I get my wedding published?

We would love to try and have your wedding published. As a matter of fact we just received the 2015 Editors Choice Award for Two Bright Lights, so we have quite a bit of experience in doing this. Let us know all the creativity and uniqueness of your wedding and we will find the right publication or blog for you.

When do you typically schedule portrait sessions?

We offer portrait session on weekdays and some Saturdays depending upon our wedding schedule. All portrait sessions take place between 1-2 hours before sunset unless you are looking for head shots. Then we are a little more flexible.

How much do you edit your images?

We believe that GREAT images start with the knowledge of lighting and exposure in camera. So our goal is to have it look as best as it possibly can without editing. After the session we make you look even more amazing with a little bit of contrast and vibrant magic. But trust us, you won’t look fake or over processed. We want you to look like….YOU!

Can I have images to post on social media?

We typically share a highlight from each session on social media. You can then share that link on your wall and whomever you wish. If you purchase the digital files, then once you receive them, you can post any picture you want.

How long are your sessions?

We offer coverage by the hour for those who want extended sessions. But most portrait session last between 1-2 hours in length.
